Occupational physiotherapy refers to a range of techniques that our physiotherapists use to treat people suffering from work place / occupational injuries.
Common work related problems are:
Back and neck pain arising from poor work posture.

Manual handling Injuries particularly back injuries in the industrial and health care sector.

Consultation may be onsite at the workplace or off site at right therapy care which include a detailed assessment of the pain and symptoms ,Mechanism of injury and predisposing factors.
Specific treatment of the injury / problem could include the following:
Therapeutic exercise – Stretching, strengthening, correction of muscle imbalance and postural correction.
Manual techniques: Joint mobilization techniques and manipulation, restoration of normal tissue mobility.
Posture correction
Soft Tissue Techniques: Massage, Friction, Trigger point therapy, acupressure and stretching.
Electrotherapy – Ultrasound, interferential, and laser speed up the rate of recovery of injured tissues and decrease pain.T.E.N.S is used to decrease chronic pain. Electrical stimulation and laser also aid in recovery.
